Dashbaord Enhancements

  • Global filters are now available for Assets as well (not just Cost & Usage Explorer panels).
  • Change the time range & granularity for all panels in a dashboard. This will adjust both CUE and Assets panels.
  • Navigate between dashboards by clicking the dashboard name.
  • Panel summaries - see Total, Avg, Peak, and Latest for each Cost & Usage panel.
  • Copy panels to another dashboard via the three-dot menu on each panel.
  • 🔍 And the best for last: the magnifying glass icon, which lets you dive into the dashboard in the page where it was created, is now available for every panel—regardless of which account you’re currently viewing!
    For example, if a panel was created for Azure and you’re now viewing an AWS account, you’ll still see the icon. Clicking it will take you directly to CUE for the original Azure account.

Billing Rules in MCP (for MSPs)

The MCP integration now supports the billing rules API, so you can query billing rules and how they apply to your customers directly from your MCP client.


AWS CUR 2.0 Support - beta

Onboarding now supports the AWS Cost and Usage Report (CUR) 2.0 format.
Migration for existing accounts is coming soon.

Enhances Sidebar Menu

The sidebar has been reorganized to make navigation faster:

  1. Dashboards, reports, and panels now live under their own dedicated section.
  2. Sections are split by scope - org-level (like dashboards, since that data is the same regardless of which account you're viewing) and account-level.
  3. A new icon lets you onboard an account directly from the sidebar.
  4. A Go to shortcut next to the logo gives you global search across pages, accounts, dashboards, and reports.

Improved AWS Linked Accounts page

The AWS Linked Accounts page now includes a new Activity Status column (Active / Not Active), so you can tell at a glance which accounts are still reporting. You can filter the page by status to see which linked accounts have the permissions needed for us to generate recommendations, and whether they're still active under the organization.


AWS Onboarding: Billing File Access Check

The AWS onboarding wizard now checks whether Umbrella has the required access to your billing file during onboarding.

This provides an immediate indication of whether Umbrella has the permissions and access needed to successfully retrieve your billing data, making the onboarding process clearer and troubleshooting easier.


DataDog Integration - beta

You can now connect your Datadog environment to Umbrella and analyze Datadog usage alongside AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, and Databricks in a single platform. With support for Datadog usage data, you gain visibility into your Datadog consumption and costs across your cloud and SaaS environments.
