Control RI-Covered Resources in RDS Recommendations
The RDS optimization recommendations now include an Include RI-Covered preference, allowing you to control whether resources covered by Reserved Instances appear in recommendations, while clearly identifying existing RI commitments before taking action.
MCP Integration Enhancements
Umbrella's MCP integration now supports SSO authentication and Claude Desktop, making it easier and more secure to connect AI assistants to your cloud cost data. Ask questions in natural language, analyze spending trends, and explore your cloud environment directly from Claude Desktop - without managing separate credentials.
Databricks Onboarding - beta
You can now connect your Databricks environment to Umbrella and analyze Databricks cost and usage alongside AWS, Azure, GCP, and Snowflake in a single platform. With support for Unity Catalog billing data, you gain detailed visibility into Databricks spend by workspace, SKU, and usage across Cost & Usage Explorer, Business Mapping, Budgets, and Waste Detector.
If you’d like to enable this feature, please contact our support team at [email protected].
Enhanced Dashboard List
Enhanced the Dashboard List with improved design and functionality, making it easier to discover, organize, and manage dashboards. Quickly navigate between dashboard types using dedicated tabs, organize dashboards with labels, apply advanced filters, and view additional dashboard details directly from the list.
Note: The Services section in the platform has been deprecated, and its content has been moved to the Dashboards page under the Umbrella tab.
Set Your Main Dashboard
You can now choose a Main Dashboard that opens automatically every time you sign in to Umbrella, giving you instant access to the metrics that matter most. Main dashboards can be configured per user, role, organization, and account context (including all accounts, specific cloud providers, or individual cloud accounts), making it easy to tailor the experience for different teams and environments.
New Purchase Option field for GCP
Get deeper visibility into your GCP costs with the new Purchase Option and Consumption Model fields. You can now filter and group costs by Purchase Option to distinguish between Commitments and On-Demand usage, and use the Consumption Model field to view CUD plan details.
Combined with enhanced drill-down capabilities, you can trace costs from purchase option to services and individual resources, making it easier to understand commitment utilization and identify optimization opportunities.
