How to create a scheduled report
In Umbrella Cost, the Schedule Report is based on Cost & Usage Explorer and Assets. We recommend reading this article to understand more about the capabilities of our Cost & Usage Explorer. See more details on how to use the Cost & Usage Explorer here and Assets here .
Create a Schedule Report from Cost & Usage Explorer
- Access the Cost & Usage Report.
- Select the Granularity (Day, Week, Month).
- Select the Group X by Y (for example Service by Date, or Service by Linked Account).

- Click the Save icon in the top right corner.

- In the Save Report dialog, define the following:
- Enter the Report Name.
- Select the Time Period.
- Enter the Recipient's address.
- Select the Frequency.
Note: weekly frequency will present Monday to Monday results.

- Click Save.
- The reports can be tested. When you click 'Test' the configured recipients will receive the report.
Reports - Sharing and 'Run As' (User Management 2.0)
- The FinOps Admin with full access to all data is creating reports to different units in the organization.
- She then shares the reports with specific roles - Allowing the users with those roles to view the data included in the report, according to their data access permissions.
- As this report is intended for user [email protected], she can choose to set the report to Run As "x" thus making this report relevant to him.
- When clicking send report now in the UI, the report is generated with the logged-in user's permissions and is sent to the chosen email address.
