Integration with Microsoft Teams
The Umbrella Cost monitoring integration to Microsoft Teams enables you to get cost alerts & reports directly in Microsoft Teams channels, using Microsoft Teams workflows.
Following the initial installation in your Microsoft Teams workspace, adding Umbrella Cost to a Microsoft Teams channel is easy to setup.
Configuring the Microsoft Teams channel
To send alerts from Umbrella to a Microsoft Team:

In Microsoft Teams:
- Choose the relevant channel within Microsoft Teams.
- Create an incoming workflow integration .
- Copy the URL to be used for this channel. See example in the image below.

Create a new Microsoft Teams channel instance in Umbrella Cost:
a. Click the user icon in the top right corner, and select Account.
b. In the Channels tab, click Add Channel and choose Microsoft Teams.
c. Fill in the Umbrella Cost channel name
d. Use the Microsoft Teams URL you created in Microsoft Teams (step 1.c above)
e. Set the channel as the recipient of alerts and/or reports.
When an alert is triggered or a report is generated
- A webhook is sent by Umbrella Cost to the defined URL.
- The webhook is received within Microsoft Teams and is posted to the channel.
