Role Data Access

To define who can see what data, you need to assign sub-accounts to roles. Use these guidelines to keep it simple.

Create the required hierarchy, it will serve for data access as well as data viewing.

If not using Cost Centers, prefer to use complete accounts where possible. Umbrella will take care adding/removal of sub accounts for you.

Terminology

Accounts is the name to describe:

• AWS Payer accounts
• Azure Billing accounts
• GCP Billing accounts
• FOCUS Billing accounts

Sub accounts is the name to describe:

• AWS Linked accounts
• Azure subscriptions
• GCP projects
• FOCUS sub accounts
